The world’s largest outdoor education event is officially heading back to the French Alps this summer. From July 2–5, 2026, the Arc’teryx Alpine Academy will take over Chamonix-Mont-Blanc for four days of immersive mountain culture, community, and skills development.
Whether you are looking to fine-tune your technique or break into a new discipline, this year’s Academy offers over 1,000 spots across more than 80 diverse clinics. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn directly from over 150 IFMGA guides and 50+ world-class Arc’teryx athletes—including climbing legends Will Gadd and Ines Papert.
Specialized Signature Clinics
Looking to push your limits? This year features several premier Signature Clinics:
- Big Wall Climbing: A two-day intensive on multi-day rock climbing skills like hauling, aid climbing, and placing gear.
- Mountaineering Progression: Tailored mentorship for women aged 18–30 aspiring to be professional alpinists or guides.
- Adventure Trail & Bivy: An endurance running and minimalist overnight camping experience near Lac d’Emosson.

The Alpine Village
If you can’t snag a clinic spot, the heart of the event remains completely free to attend. Located in Parc Couttet, the Alpine Village will serve as the central hub for athlete workshops, gear testing, film screenings, and technical partner booths from brands like GORE-TEX and SCARPA. You can even get your worn-out apparel fixed at the ReBIRD repair booth. To top it off, the village will feature live music and DJ sets from artists like Alfa Mist and Shanti Celeste.
Tickets on sale directly from Arc’teryx Academy.
